I Think It’s Time…

I think it’s time for me to open my mouth. For all this while I’ve been keeping quiet and just taking it in.

Somehow I have this impression that people think I’m having a ball, living my dreams by taking in these dogs. It’s like rescuing dogs is my ULTIMATE Dream.

NO.

I’d never EVER thought I would even have A dog.

PLEASE NOTE that I did NOT go around searching for stray dogs on the streets or adopt them from the shelters, then bring them home and happily ask people to help raise funds for the maintenance of these dogs.

So PLEASE, PLEASE don’t OFFER to help and then tell me that YOU WORK HARD for the MONEY, and you have lots of COMMITMENTS, you’re taking care of your parents, you sponsor a kid in India, you are rescuing dogs and SAY I also have my DREAMS to achieve.

I totally understand if someone tells me that he/she can’t help out because it’s just enough for the to take care of themselves and the family. The one that pisses me off like hell when they add, I ALSO HAVE MY DREAMS TO ACHIEVE.

For me, you’re SAYING you haven’t achieved your dreams because all these commitments.

Yeah, my grandparents who I wanted to take care of are DEAD already BUT I do have people I LOVE I want to take care of. I do have MY DREAMS I want to achieve.

What? You think I love picking up poop, cleaning the house full of fur and making sure the dogs don’t make any noise so the fuckin’ assholes neighbors won’t complain? Do you know how many times my best friend and I had to deal with the Majlis Perbandaraan Selayang because of these dogs?!

I love simple food but this is NOT my “dream” meal…

Instant noodles is NOT my favorite food.

How did you think I lost weight? I use the money I got for these dogs to pay for my gym membership?

And when did I started to raise fund for these dogs and for the Educational Centre? This year. I had these dogs since 2007. What you think if I have money to build the centre I would ask from you? HELL NO!

My best friend told me I should put aside my own EGO and ask for help since this is NOT my dogs. Ok let see, what is SPCA doing? Getting funds, feed the dogs with cheap kibbles and rice, give minimum medication and affection and PAY salary to do all these. Oh yeah and to pay for the cost to kill the dogs if nobody adopts them. You think I pay myself to do all these? My best friend and I are doing our best to give these dogs the best they deserve because they are NOT “JUST DOGS”.

So, don’t OFFER to help and then explaining how hard you work for your money and you have your DREAMS to achieve. Don’t WASTE my time. If you can’t help, DON’T OFFER.

Since this is NOT my dream job and I received tons of shits everyday doing it… why do I still do it?
