Desperation and Determination

Hey there,

I’m sorry if I sound like a broken record if you’ve been reading my previous posts about my project to get my best friend a plane ticket.

Honestly, I still couldn’t get over it that we managed to get her the plane ticket that cost RM7100 (USD2250) within 5 days.

I was actually quite stressful as my best friend was really sad due her father’s passing and at that point she really wanted get away from this place.

The thing about my best friend and I is we are actually a total opposite of each other.

She’s the planner, go getter, career minded and a realist while I’m the dreamer, having an entrepreneur mindset, more laid back and just a few months ago I started believing in “The Force” or some people call it the Law of Attraction where if we ask God or The Universe, then through the Law of Attraction, you’ll attract whatever you ask for.

I’m not here to shove it in your head about the Law of Attraction, I totally respect your opinion and beliefs.

Although I believe in magic and miracle, I’m also quite a logical person.

Even if you don’t believe in the Law of Attraction, I think you might find the benefits of the stuff I want to share here.

It’s about desperation and determination.

For the Law of Attraction to work, we need to have 100% faith that it will work and we WILL get what we want.

That is the hardest part for me and many people.

We always have doubts.

The voice in our head that says, “That is illogical! Impossible! How could you make money from nothing in a week?” or “You don’t have anything to offer, you’re not experienced, you don’t have results, you can’t do it.”

The voice is louder especially when we are desperate.

We always want things fast but usually we start taking action slowly mostly because we think too much and end up desperate because suddenly we feel we don’t have enough time.

It’s the end of the month and we have bills to pay, our saving is running out etc.

Because we are desperate, we stress ourselves, we worry, we become miserable and end up didn’t get what we want or it took us longer to get it.

Get Out of Desperation

I found this video by Dalai Lama about being determined which has helped me avoid or get out of my “desperation mode”.

According to him, once you decide to be determined to achieve or get something, TIME DOES NOT MATTER.

If doesn’t matter whether you achieve it today, tomorrow, next year, next 10 years or no matter how long it takes, you will get it because you’re determined to get it.

And because you’re determined, everyday you’ll take actions and make progress towards your goals.

Life has no meaning but what we give it. If one wastes one’s life with meaningless activities, even one day of life is too long. With meaning, time has no meaning.

Do What You Love

This is one of the reasons that I believe we must do the things we love.

If we don’t even achieve the end results or our goals, we don’t waste the activities that we do everyday because we love doing them.

Like now, I do enjoy writing and sharing this with you.

I hope that you enjoy reading it and somehow it would change or help you.

And I also hope that somehow this blog would directly or indirectly help me achieve my goal which is to generate monthly income enough to take care of my family comfortably and allows me to have the time to spend with them.

So, it doesn’t mean that we totally forget our goals, we still have our goals in mind but we focus on completing and enjoying our daily activities that will bring us to our goals.
